SHOW ME YOUR FRIENDS, I WILL SHOW YOU YOUR FUTURE

Proverbs 13:20 " Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”

THE QUALITY OF OUR LIVES IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE QUALITY OF OUR RELATIONSHIPS.

IF YOU FEEL ALONE, YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN FEELING ALONE.

LONELINESS IS NOT A YOU PROBLEM, IT’S NOT A ME PROBLEM, IT’S AN US PROBLEM.

John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

HOW DO WE CREATE HEALTHY FRIENDSHIPS?

BE PRESENT

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

BE REAL

John 13:35 But people will come to know that we are disciples by the way we love each other.

Matthew 26:36-46 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

45 Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

James 5:13-15 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

BE FORGIVING

YOU CAN’T BE RIGHT WITH GOD IF YOU ARE WRONG WITH OTHERS

Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
